An old Northern Electric payphone at the Signal Hill visitor center. Historical re-enactments take place daily during the summer at Signal Hill. Sign forest at Signal Hill. Interesting items include the Titanic, and the fact that Dublin was much closer than Seattle. Looking toward Cape Spear from Signal Hill. Me bracing against a gust of wind that nearly blew me down at Signal Hill.

St. John's skies are grey, so people like to paint their houses bright colors. Beautiful Victorian houses in downtown St. John's. My dorm room at Rothermere House. It was clean and included free Internet access. A room with a view! My view from Rothermere House. Graffiti being what it is, you have to at least give the MUN students points for originality.

Dorms at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN). I stayed in the Rothermere and Doyle houses. It was only CAD$35 a night, including parking. Ths is the most gay thing I saw in Newfoundland, and they didn't even mean for it to be. Newfoundland winters are harsh, so MUN constructed a tunnel system so students don't have to hike to classes in the snow. Now that buildings are smoke free, perfume is a lot more obvious. MUN is trying to get people to stop being less pungent. Historic Water Street, St. John's.
